Experience
Whitney J. Stowe is an intellectual property attorney with over ten years’ experience in all things trademark, as well as copyright and advertising. She has built her career at a global and large law firms with a wide range of experience in various intellectual property issues across industries.
Whitney counsels clients across the full trademark lifecycle, from portfolio building, ongoing clearance and management, to enforcement and brand protection. Her practice includes trademark and copyright prosecution, TTAB proceedings, domain disputes, DMCA and copyright matters, and FTC advertising and endorsement compliance. She has managed global networks of outside counsel and their budgets, supported M&A due diligence, and negotiated license and coexistence agreements. Whitney brings deep experience in trademark litigation. She has also advised global technology companies on software, copyright, and open source issues, including in high-stakes federal court litigation.
Education
Whitney is a former Chair of the Washington State Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section. She earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was a national moot court champion, and her B.A. in Philosophy from Gonzaga University.
